Dr. Jake O’Brien was born and raised in the small south Louisiana town of Eunice. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from Louisiana Tech University in 2011, and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 2016.
Dr. O’Brien has been married to his wife Jordan since 2011. Their children, Benjamin and Eleanor were born on February 11, 2019. His hobbies include spending time with his wife and children, cooking (especially cajun cuisine), and competing in triathlons. He is also a member of Norris Ferry Community Church.
Throughout dental school and into the beginning of his career Dr. O’Brien has enjoyed the opportunity dentistry has provided to care for those in need through organizations such as Project Happy Tiger, Ozanam Inn Dental Clinic, Louisiana Mission of Mercy, and Hub Urban Ministries. He is a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. His goal is to provide his patients with high quality dental care while treating them with utmost compassion and empathy. Dr. O’Brien has enjoyed becoming a part of the Shreveport community and is looking forward to many more years of developing relationships.
